Island Profile: Rory

Hello Penguins,

Way back on Club Penguin Classic, penguins were fascinated by a character named Rory, the island's own construction worker. Guy what, guys? He's back on CP Island as a shop owner.  Aunt Arctic has all the latest in a Special Report on Island News...

Favorite thing: Planning the perfect igloo, then making it a reality
Special Skill: Turning low-quality driftwood into high-quality furniture
Quote: “Sometimes building means breaking down a few walls.”
AA: Rory, you’ve designed countless igloos. How did you complete the projects on your own?
R: By totally underestimating how hard they’ll be. Ha!
AA: What drives you to work so hard?
R: As tough as it is, I love what I do. Knowing what I build becomes someone’s home to party in, or a favorite couch to jump on, makes it all worth it.
AA: What’s the toughest part of your job?
R: Building enough furniture to keep Igloos & Interiors stocked. Everything from cheese graters to dance floors are flying off the shelves.
AA: What’s helps you maintain your lifestyle?
R: Hydrating with Seaweed Smoothies. But seriously, if I didn’t have my diamond-tipped jackhammer, I’d still be working on igloo #1.
AA: Diamond-tipped jackhammer? That sounds like a rare treasure.
R: Not really. You just pry a diamond off a golden crown, and bam—you’ve got everything you need.
AA: Yes, but—wouldn’t that require finding a golden crown?
R: We’re living on an island with coins just lying around. I’m sure there are a few crowns, too.
Rory finished off a seaweed smoothie and got back to work, saying there was plenty more to build.

Great interview, Aunt Arctic! It was nice to hear from someone who had a break from the public eye. What are your thoughts on this? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, waddle on!
