The Penguin Games 2017: Medalists and Recap!

Hello Penguin,

Earlier today, I hosted the 2nd Annual Penguin Games. Here is a recap of it!

The event, after meeting up at the Ski Hill, started in my igloo for the Opening Ceremony. Here, like the previous games, the flame was lit which signalled the beginning of the games.

We were fortunate enough to be joined by a few mods, namely SheepVsGravity, Boltzor and Megg!

First event was Sled Racing at the Ski Hill. Everyone played a few rounds with their fellow residents.

The next event involved dancing at the Dance Club. Look at those moves!

The third event was singing.... In speech, emojis, whatever you felt like. Everyone was encouraging, and after that we took a photo which will hopefully be of significance in the near future...

After that, we went to the far right of the island! We rocked it. We drilled it. We tipped it. We flipped it. We danced on it. And most importantly, we made memories on it, because it was the Ice Berg.

The FINAL event for the online part of the games was Find Four. No penguin was left out here. Everyone was welcome.

Next, up the FIRST ever Penguin Games event: Swimming! Naturally, we're good at this.

Quite a few moderators were able to join us here also, SheepVsGravity, Captain Pirate, and Boltzor.

The next event was The Penguin Factor, where penguins preformed music with instruments. A lot of noise! Although we had no complaints... EVERYONE was participating!

The last event of this annual event were the Sea Caves Races. I didn't do too bad. I think...

Lastly, the games were closed around the Camp Fire at Coconut Cove.

Seems familiar?
Everyone had fun! This brought a smile to my face.

Last but not least, we had a little afterparty on the Club Penguin App. Coffees were on the house! Actually no, they were free... Always have been here...

And now for the moment we've all been waiting for... The medalists!

In this post, I decided that the theme of the event was change, reflecting how the game has evolved and revolutionised our lives for the better, over the past 11 years. I think we ticked that box: The games were held on Club Penguin, Club Penguin Island, and the Club Penguin App! Adding to the theme of the event, my new year’s resolution was to connect. We achieved that too, as everyone was welcomed into the events, regardless of the language they spoke or who they were, and everyone had fun.

I would like to give a big thank you to everyone who came, especially the moderators from Club Penguin. I hope you all had fun!

If you didn't win a medal, don't worry! There will always be next year... Start training for The Penguin Games 2018! Were you able to attend? Let me know in the comments below!
