Club Penguin: My Memories, Thoughts and Experience!

Hi Penguins,

I thought that I should take this opportunity to share with you my thoughts on Club Penguin's closure. First off, reiterating my Club Penguin experience. All I can say is that it's been an amazing journey for me. Club Penguin has played a huge part of my life, and I hope that as you read this post you'll see that. Happy reading!

My Club Penguin journey started way back in late 2009 when I got my Nintendo DS Lite and the Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force game for Christmas. I played with it for hours each day, trying to figure out the puzzles and completing the missions. It was a lot of fun, and I have lots of vivid memories of the awesome times I had with it.

The birds were chirping, the flowers were showing their true colours and the sky was overcast. I was needing to go to the doctors, and at my wait there I picked up a local newspaper. I saw an advertisement advertising Club Penguin at the Melbourne Aquarium. And so, my journey on the online Club Penguin was just about to begin!

This advertisement was very similar to the one I saw.

Several days later I went to that aquarium. Oh, what fun I had! There were real life penguins, workshops, competitions, and even a Q & A session. From this experience I learnt about PH coming to an island I had never heard about. As well as that, I claimed lots of goodies, including a postcard with the Green Viking Helmet... So when I created my penguin, I had a rare item!

My normal outfit; well, minus the helmet...

Club Penguin has played a big part of my life. I remember when first started playing in 2011 and 2012, I would rush everything to go on the family computer to play Club Penguin. This process happened for many years. Although the amount of time I spent on the game through the years varied, I still loved the game dearly. I also recall playing the game at school when I had free time.

I remember most of the parties from 2012 quite well. I'd have to say that the final three parties of that year were probably the most memorable for me. It was hard for me to even decide on 3 months ! I remember the Haunted Mansion vividly. I remember all the colour, detail, secrets, and the adventure of exploring a mansion with so many rooms and mazes: I liked it.

This mansion was HUGE!

I've liked pretty much all of the game's parties and events. All of them had important value. At the 2011 Halloween Party, I still remember meeting and adding Gary to my friends list. It was on the server Adventure and in the Lighthouse. It was a lucky server of mien for a while. Operation Blackout was another, with a great plot and great rooms. One of the best parties, in my opinion.

Between mid 2013 and towards the end of 2014, I fell off the Club Penguin radar. In September, I became more active and passionate about the game. A few months after that, I was given the rare honour of receiving POTW. I was very happy. Extremely. I woke up to the news, and I remember receiving SO many friends requests. Also in that week  Chattabox hosted a party, but personally, it was more like an end of year concert. I was noticed. Also at this time, I established my normal (and original) outfit.  I felt so accomplished!

 My POTW post!

At the end of 2015 I joined the Club Penguin Twitter community, started, and a new part of my life opened up. I dedicate time to my readers, and I hope that you see this reflected in my posts. That's my promise. It always has been, and always has been. I reiterated this with a very- good page of mine... Check that out HERE!

Well, the days when kids game on desktop devices is slowly decreasing. Nowadays, everything is for mobile. Mobile is the future. Mobile is portable. Mobile is quick, easy and accessible. Club Penguin has made a good decision. All those years ago that we chatted, we never realised that we were making memories- But we were. And we'll do the same on our new island. Club Penguin Island.

Everything's gonna be alright. I think that's a song...

Club Penguin island will have everything we've ever wanted on Club Penguin: Friend jumping, a good friends list, an unlimited wardrobe, food, adventures, amongst many other things. We must be patient. Only us will be able to decide the future of the game. A game without a community is nothing. A game with a good and positive one is everything.
