Tomisino1’s Club Penguin Timewarps 12: Coins for Change

In 2007, Club Penguin decided to host a Coins for Change event during the Holiday Party of that year. Two donation booths were placed on the island, and from the 2.5 million penguins that donated coins, 2 billion virtual coins were counted and collected. These donations were across areas of kids health, environment and kids around the world. Based on these results, Club Penguin donated 1 million dollars to charities supporting the areas of donation, such as WWF, for environment. This decision that Club Penguin had made started a tradition which continues to this day, almost a whole decade later.
